I had a bit of a scare last month when I realized I’d spent my internet bill money on a "sure thing" that ended up being a total disaster in the final minutes of the game. I’d never done anything that reckless before, and the feeling of dread in my stomach when the whistle blew was enough to make me realize I’d let things go way too far. It was a massive wake-up call that no matter how much you think you know about a sport, there is no such thing as a guaranteed result and you should never play with money that is already "spoken for" by real-life necessities.May 18th, 4:48 am
