Played the back nine first in 48, then the heat got to me on the front. Need better course management in the waste areas as there were a number of wasted shots trying to hit the green from there, where a layup to the fairway would have been better. Also, quite a few over cooked shots, resulting in the long irons flying off to the right mainly. Putter is letting me down again, and in the heat hit many heavy shots, especially 3 iron. Generally, happy with getting in scoring position on the back at 48 with 19 putts. There were 5 holes with 2 putts inside 10'. If I could have made those, I'd be looking at low 40s.Aug 19, 2014 Details -

Big numbers killed it. Posted 3 eights and two 7s mainly due to trying to hit sand shots. First 8 was on hole 1 trying to hit a full 8i (3 tries) and similar trouble on number 8 (3 full swings of 3i from deep sand tractor tracks) resulting in a 7. Maybe better course management could help, especially from the troublesome lies. More sand trouble from the lip of the deep bunker in front of #13 added two more strokes. Round also had 7 three putts and a horrible 4 putt after finding the green from the tee. Still hitting mid to low irons good. Putter is fading obviously. Driver is still up and down. Starting to feel that when I subconsciously want to get one airborne the swing becomes a chop. Focus more on a sweeping motion with shallow angle of attack. That proved dividends on the way in with the last 3 drives going pretty straight. The first attempt to sweep, resulted in losing it left though. Keep the club going toward target.Aug 8, 2014 Details
